剧情：为纪念鲁迅先生《故乡》发表一百周年，编剧高子文创作了三幕喜剧《故乡》。大学生李新和李菲菲回到了位于江南的农村老家，看到故乡在新农村建设下已是旧貌换新颜，也观察到农村社会深层的巨变和割裂。剧本集中表现现代文明与传统观念的碰撞，客观地记录下新农村在新时代下所发生的文化转型。作品在喜剧性的氛围中，挖掘出了人物的悲剧性内核，极具艺术感染力。

剧情：该剧由新加坡文化奖获得者郭宝崑于1985年创作。棺材太大了吗？还是这个洞太小了？人们会怎么做？这是一场强者与弱者之间的拉锯战。这部卡夫卡式的戏剧讲述了一位男子负责操办祖父的葬礼，因为棺材尺寸太大的问题，与官僚机构之间展开的对抗。

Synopsis: The play was written in 1985 by Singapore Cultural Medallion winner, Kuo Pao Kun. Is the coffin too big? Or is the hole too small? What will people do? This is a tug-of-war between the powerful and the powerless. This Kafkaesque play tells the story of a man tasked to oversee the funeral of his grandfather and his fight against government bureaucracy when the grand coffin is too large for the hole.
