The German Association for Asian Art hereby issues the following statement:
In accordance with preliminary agreements reached with relevant partners and based on our retained unilateral right of revocation, the German Association for Asian Art hereby declares the formal termination of all collaborative arrangements involving physical performance artist Mr. Deshun Wang 王德顺 (b. 1936) in the Sino-German project Elysian Echoes for its tour in Germany and Europe, effective as of the date of this announcement.
This revocation comprehensively applies to, but is not limited to, all previously scheduled activities between 2025 and 2026—including performances, rehearsals, promotional events, and public appearances in Hamburg, Paris, Munich, Rome, and other designated locations. All related agreements are hereby rendered null and void, with no further legal or binding effect.
Furthermore:
- The official invitation letter previously issued to Mr. Wang for visa or administrative purposes (dated March 10, 2025) are immediately invalidated and may not be utilized for any external affairs.
- The Letter of Collaboration Intent signed with third-party entities (dated December 28, 2024) is concurrently rescinded, with all clauses deemed inoperative.
The Association retains exclusive copyright and intellectual property rights to Elysian Echoes, and strictly prohibits unauthorized use, dissemination, or derivative works. Mr. Wang is expressly barred from:
- Using the project’s name or creative content without authorization;
- Making misleading public statements;
- Breaching ongoing confidentiality obligations.
The Association reserves final interpretative authority over this statement and will pursue all legal measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.
