The German Association for Asian Art (Deutscher Verein für Asiatische Kunst e. V.) is a registered non-profit association dedicated to promoting contemporary Asian art, culture, and performing arts in Germany and fostering intercultural exchange. Founded in Göttingen in 2019, its Asian Theater—formerly known as the Yingming Theater—brings together diverse artistic voices and explores themes of identity, freedom, justice, and subjectivity beyond cultural stereotypes. As part of this mission, the association publishes The Asian Theater (ISSN 2700-2047), a digital journal dedicated to intercultural theatre and cultural diversity. The publication features critical scholarship and creative contributions that reflect diverse cultural perspectives and contexts.
