This workshop explores Blossoms of Her Selves, Dr. Yaxin Luo’s experimental adaptation of Dream of the Red Chamber. Through reading, embodied practice, voice and character work, improvisation, and group creation, participants examine female identity, desire, emotion, and power, with a focus on competition, complicity, harm, and mutual understanding among women.

Through a reading of Li Er’s Cherries Grow on Pomegranate Trees, participants explore the relationships between contemporary Chinese society, rural communities, and individual lives.

“Walk with me. Talk with me.” Museum Friedland, Lower Saxony, Germany, January 2026

In collaboration with Museum Friedland, the project uses participatory art and dialogue to invite refugees at the Friedland transit centre in Lower Saxony to share and shape the work through their own experiences of migration, memory, and identity. By bringing personal stories into the public space, the project connects diverse life experiences and collective memories.
