Wang Guanghao is a theatre director and creator. His work A Hundred Million Billion Billion Bytes of Life (2021) was selected for the Script Market of the Berliner Theatertreffen. His theatre works include Understanding Media (2022), The Cliff Village on Earth (2023), A Wonderful Journey into Intangible Cultural Heritage (2023), and IT’S TIME TO GET OLD! (2024). He received the 2024 Aranya Theatre Festival “Future Theatre · Gold Award” and the 2025 Shanghai Jing’an Modern Drama Festival “One Theatre Award.” His work consistently engages with issues in contemporary society and explores the integration of new media, such as video games, into the language of theatre.

This workshop is designed for young people and their parents. Through games, performance, and conversation, children and parents will imagine the future together: What will the world of the future look like? What would we like it to look like? Let’s listen to each other’s ideas, play and create together, and imagine a future that belongs to all of us.

1. What is the main purpose of the workshop?
Through games, performance, and conversation, we will imagine the future together, listen to each other’s ideas, and create a future that belongs to all of us.

2. What is its connection to the main performance?
The workshop continues the approach of IT’S TIME TO GET OLD!—bringing adults and children together through conversation, games, and performance. This time, however, we turn our attention to imagining the future.

3. Will the “future scenes” become an artistic work?
No. The workshop focuses on improvisation and interaction, with no predetermined script or expectation of creating a finished work. The “future scenes” are simply a way to share and explore our ideas about the future.

4. Will participants’ stories, words, or performances be recorded or used for future artistic projects?
No. Photos taken during the workshop will be used only for documentation by the organizers and will not be used for future artistic projects. Participants who do not wish to appear in front-facing photos can inform the staff in advance. Participation by minors requires the consent of a parent or guardian.

5. In what capacity do participants take part?
As “inhabitants of the Earth.” There are no specific roles to play and no right or wrong answers. Simply bring your own ideas and explore new possibilities through conversation and shared experience.

6. Is any preparation required?
No special preparation is needed—just come with a willingness to participate, communicate, and explore. Comfortable everyday clothing is recommended; there is no need to wear sportswear.
