Author and journalist Khuê Pham explores the impact of the Vietnam War and family dispersion in her novel “Wherever You Are.” In collaboration with choreographer Fang Yun Lo, the dance theater “Kim” delves into the protagonist’s search for identity, touching on cultural displacement, speechlessness about the past, and the relativity of concepts like good and evil. The performance, inspired by Pham’s book, features a mix of dance, literature, and film, bringing to light questions about personal identity and the generational impact of historical catastrophes. Join us for a captivating session combining reading, behind-the-scenes insights, and video clips from the piece, complemented by a book exhibition showcasing Khuê Pham’s works.
