From March to July, the Chinese Theater in Göttingen produced an 82-minute radio drama, Tough. 

The radio drama tells the story of anxiety, tension, and mutual support in a family in the spring of 2020 when China instituted large-scale lockdowns to control the COVID-19 crisis. 

The cast and crew brought together artists from Wuhan, Nanjing, Göttingen, Hamburg, Saarbrücken, and Aachen. Created through successful cross-border collaboration during a time of social distancing, the project fostered intercultural exchange while strengthening participants’ social, communication, and personal confidence.
