The performance “Butterfly Island” by “Er Gao Performing Arts” lasts for a single session lasting 180 minutes. It seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as the emotional realms of performers and audience members. The performance utilizes a variety of complex media, including visuals, exhibitions, live performances, behaviors, oral narratives, etc., yet it coalesces into a unified and comprehensive expression. The structure and form of this piece make it challenging to simply label it as “dance theater” or a “performance.” The viewing experience is more akin to an exhibition, with 120 minutes of public performance followed by a 60-minute ticketed show, resembling the permanent and special exhibitions in an art gallery. If one were to perceive “Butterfly Island” as a themed art gallery, its theme might revolve around “the fluid body and nostalgia.”

“二高表演”的《蝴蝶岛_Butterfly Island》单场长达180分钟，联动室内、户外乃至表演者及观众的心灵空间，包括影像、展览、现场表演、行为、口述等繁複媒介，却又整合为一，完成了完整而集中的表达。这样的结构与形式令人很难将作品简单地称为“舞蹈剧场”或 “演出”，对它的观看方式更接近于展览：120分钟的公共表演加上60分钟的售票演出，类似美术馆的常设展与特展。若将《蝴蝶岛》视作一座带有主题性的美术馆，它的主题大概可以是“流动的身体与乡愁”。

Annie Feng is a theatre producer, critic, and the editor-in-chief of the vertical media/new media platform “WowTheatre.” Producing credits include: Le petit Paris, Ici·Là-bas, Le Cri (Voleur du Feu Theatre, Taiwan), Hedda Gabler (Theatre Company Shelf, Japan), A Midsummer Night’s Dream 2015, A Midsummer Night’s Scream (Nanjing University Department of Theater & Film), Café Experimental Theatre, The Traitor (Nanjing University MFA Theatre Company). Works she has produced have been invited to many festivals in China and abroad, including TPAM – Performing Arts Meeting in Yokohama, Taipei Arts Festival, the Cross-Strait Avant-Garde Theater Festival, Festival Off d’Avignon, Beijing Fringe Festival, and Beijing NLGX Performing Arts Festival. Her theatre reviews have been published in Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine, New Drama, Shanghai Theatre, Stage and Screen Reviews, Guangdong Art Magazine, People’s Daily, National Center for the Performing Arts Magazine, and others.

冯安妮，本科毕业于南京大学文学院，中央戏剧学院戏剧文学系硕士。戏剧制作人、媒体人，表演艺术策展人；国际戏剧评论家协会（IATC）中国分会理事；北京南阳共享际剧场节目总监；知名戏剧领域公众号“安妮看戏wowtheatre”主编；台湾盗火剧团（中国大陆）制作经理；日本shelf剧团（中国）制作人；二高表演特约制作人。作品受邀参加法国阿维尼翁OFF戏剧节、英国爱丁堡国际艺穗节、日本TPAM艺术节、台北艺术节、北京国际青年戏剧节、两岸小剧场艺术节、挪威易卜生戏剧节等表演艺术节展。戏剧评论及行业观察文章见于《三联生活周刊》《中国新闻周刊》《人民日报》《上海戏剧》《戏剧与影视评论》《广东艺术》《新剧本》《国家大剧院》等知名媒体。
